Cleveland Race Event Volunteers play an integral part in presenting the Grand Prix of Cleveland. The support of the REV’s ensures that the operations and events surrounding the Grand Prix of Cleveland run successfully and smoothly. The race could not run without its volunteers. What the REV’s have in common is that they share their “gift of time” to make race weekend a success for the drivers, the spectators, and the city of Cleveland.

Several areas to volunteer directly help the drivers and teams that participate in this weekend spectacular. Making it easy for them to acquire credentials, find their hotel, and assuring their safety on the track are just a few ways to help.

Assisting the race fans throughout the complex is extremely important. We want to make sure they have an enjoyable, memorable time and, thus, plan to return next year. Just about every area worked race weekend, you will encounter some race fans.

The race is especially important for the city of Cleveland. “The Grand Prix is a significant annual event for the City of Cleveland. It is a popular attraction that puts Cleveland on the world stage and delivers an annual economic impact of some $30 million,” said Mayor Frank G. Jackson.
In return for volunteering, REV’s receive ~
• Special REV’s shirts – one for each day of work race weekend
• Daily meals
• Goody bags filled with coupons, promotional items, etc.
• Post event party with food, beverages and raffle prizes
• Worker credential for the weekend
• Option to purchase race tickets at a discount

The REV’s are a dynamic group of people that offer their time and talents year after year to make the Grand Prix of Cleveland the first-class event that it is. As each REV is not only representing the Race but also the city of Cleveland, a professional attitude, hospitable personality and neat appearance are important characteristics. This year, the REV’s will be managed under the charitable arm of the race, Cleveland Grand Prix Charities. As such, volunteering for the Grand Prix enables more dollars to be donated to local Cleveland charities.
